Knox Beer Snobs and Knox Brew Tours Anniversary Celebration!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Knox Beer Snobs celebrates their 5th year and Knox Brew Tours celebrate their 1st Year!
Knoxville, TN. November 13, 2015 – Knox Beer Snobs will celebrate their 5th anniversary at the end of November and Knox Brew Tours will celebrate their first anniversary at the same time. “It’s amazing to think about how much the craft beer culture in Knoxville has changed in the last 5 years,” said Rob Shomaker, co-founder of Knox Beer Snobs. “It’s the booming craft beer culture that makes my business even possible,” added Zack Roskop of Knox Brew Tours, “I am truly humbled and grateful.”
In order to not only celebrate these milestones, Knox Beer Snobs and Knox Brew Tours have planned a celebration of Knoxville craft beer culture on Sunday, December 6th from 2pm to 6pm, with doors opening at 1:30, at Pretentious Beer Glass Company. This event will highlight the Knoxville brewers that have transformed the craft beer culture and give patrons the opportunity to get up close with the brewers. The event is modeled after a progressive dinner where each brewer will bring a beer to share and have an allotted time to pour a sample, talk about their beer and share about their brewery. As of this press release the following local breweries have committed; Alliance Brewing Co., Balter Beerworks, Blackhorse Brewery, Bluetick Brewery, Cold Fusion Brewing, Crafty Bastard Brewery, Fanatic Brewery, Hexagon Brewing Co., Last Days of Autumn Brewing, Pretentious Beer and Glassware Co., Saw Works Brewing Co., Smoky Mountain Brewery and Woodruff Brewing Company. Yee Haw Brewing Company will also be joining the fun and a special 5 gallon batch of beer that Knox Beer Snobs Don Kline did with Saw Works Brewing Company will also be available.
A limited number of tickets will be available from knoxbrewtours.com/tickets for $30 with all proceeds going to benefit New Hope Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center and Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“We’re excited to have been a part of this wonderful, creative craft beer culture in the Knoxville area and we’re very much looking forward to celebrating it together on December 6th,” added Don Kline co-founder of Knox Beer Snobs.
About Knox Beer Snobs
Knox Beer Snobs was founded in 2010 after friends Don Kline and Rob Shomaker decided to start a blog to keep up with what they had been drinking. Little did they know that as the Knoxville beer culture was beginning to evolve and grow their blog would transform to reflect and support that culture. As a result Knox Beer Snobs has been a part of many brewery releases, events and movements. Through the blog Don and Rob have been thrilled to be a part of Knox Beer Week since its inception, the Tennessee Winter Beer Fest and Hops for Hope benefiting Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center. While the beer may be in focus, it’s the people they have met along the way that have made the blog so much fun and they are thrilled to have seen the Knoxville beer culture grow and transform.
About Knox Brew Tours
Knox Brew Tours was created the when owner/operator Zack Roskop decide to combine his passions for craft beer, meeting new people, and the city of Knoxville. From the beginning the mission has been simple, be the best way to discover local beer. Although you will have tons of fun on each tour, Knox Brew Tours is not simply a party bus. A knowledgeable guide guides each tour as they take you from “grain-to-glass” and behind the scenes at each location. Zack is honored to be a part of the craft beer community and is excited to share the milestone of 1 year at this event.
