Knox Beer Week & Knoxville Brewfest | Giving Thanks

Howdy fellow snobs,

I’m going to get right to the point of this post – those of us here at KnoxBeerSnobs want to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone who made Knox Beer Week and Knoxville Brewfest not only a success this year but also possible.

We realize that planning these events, asking brewers to give up their time and working with various parties can take some work. However, last week we raised the level of awareness of craft beer, some new people got introduced to this wonderful art, we imparted some wisdom (thoroughly enjoyed the Science of Beer event and Meet your Maker), we saw our FIRST local collaborative beer introduced  – great job Zack Roskop/Knox Brew Tours for coordinating –  AND we had a good time to boot.

We are particularly thankful to our brewers – both our local brewers and those from outside of the area who took the time to come in  – YOU ROCK. To the brewers involved in the collab beer – all 9 of you – well done and thank you for your willingness to not only do it but to stand tall as you loudly stated that Knoxville, while scruffy, rocks like crazy.

To everyone with Knox Brewfest – Matt McMillan in particular and the incredible volunteers – thumbs up all around. Excellent event. We hope you met and exceeded your goal for Cure Duchenne.

Finally, thanks to all the supporters of craft beer in the area – you guys are awesome. Keep it up, keep spreading the message. Things have changed in our fair town and continue to do so.
