Saw Works Brewing/Corks Wine & Spirits Collab | BBA Pumpkin Porter

If you weren’t aware, SWBC and Corks Wine & Spirits out in Turkey Creek have been experimenting with some beer. As the fine gentlemen at Corks like to brew as well, there have been a few opportunities to try a few different recipes with SWBC. Also, Corks just happens to have some Four Roses Barrels that were feeling empty inside. Being the season of pumpkin, a plan was carved out.

BBA_PumpkinThis Bourbon Barrel Aged Pumpkin Porter pours with a ruby to a deep brown color. The nose is rich, maple, maybe even scotch. The flavor is full and begins very sweet, filling the mouth entirely, moving quickly to a bitterness, some faint gourd-like flavors and then it lingers on the palate.

Final snobs: This may be my favorite beer thus far from this collaboration. Whenever a barrel is involved it’s hard to go wrong but you need to decide for yourself. You can currently find this beer on tap at Corks Wine & Spirits in Turkey Creek.

Cheers!
