Ska Brewing – Ten Pin Porter!

The retro bottle and bowling theme had my attention.  It certainly didn’t represent anything else in my fridge.  It actually kind of creeped me out, like a clown in a bar.

After I got past the bottle, I actually enjoyed this beer.  It isn’t anything I would hunt for endlessly, but not bad.  It poured relatively dark brown, with a tan head.  Malts were heavy, but not overly sweet.  There were undertones of chocolate and coffee and I am guessing a lower ABV, since the bottle didn’t offer a clue on the octane level.  It drank smooth and wasn’t overwhelming.

A solid, drinkable porter with a weird bottle.
