Oktoberfest, The Market and The Casual Pint

If you missed Kingsport Oktoberfest last weekend, you missed quite the treat. However, fear not, as there is still some Oktoberfest to be had in these here parts. So you can still easily get your fill of Märzen lager and bratwurst as well as catch the ball game.

First of all, The Market at Washington and High in Maryville (Mur-vul) still has a few spots open for their Oktoberfest Beer Tasting tomorrow night. You can swing by the store to sign up. $20 gets you German fare of bratwurst with sauerkraut, German potato salad and enough beer samples to make you feel silly for not wearing lederhosen. Oh, and if that’s not enough, another 2 pints to boot should you want a little more Märzen or want to give something else a shot. We’ve done a fair number of these tastings over the years and they are always a blast. KnoxBeerSnob Approved.

If you find you’re still longing for a brat come Saturday, never fear, The Casual Pint’s Bearden location has you covered. $13 gets Brew Crew Members (free registration at CP!) gets you 2 pints and 2 brats. Non-members, $15 for the same fare. Also, come 3:30 kick-off Oktoberfest brews will be $3 – can’t beat that!

Prost!
