Angel’s Share Craft Beer Festival | Saturday, July 18th, Kingsport, TN

Howdy gang,

We’re suckers for barrel aged beer – especially since we’re big fans of bourbon. Barrel aged beers are certainly the rage across beer styles right now so why not have an event to celebrate that pairing? Superfly has done just that. Also note that Studio Brew is mentioned below. While we love each of the breweries listed, Studio Brew has done some incredible barrel aged beer – just saying.  Check out the press release below and for ticket info check out angelssharebeerfest.com/

Cheers!

FunFest Welcomes Angel’s Share Craft Beer Festival to 2015 Line Up

Kingsport, TN – It was only a matter of time before craft beer helped put the FUN in Funfest. The “Angel’s Share” will descend on the Kingsport Mets Stadium on Saturday, July 18th.

“Fun Fest looks forward to this new event and a unique venue. SuperFly Productions has had great success with Kingsport’s Oktoberfest and are delighted to have this partnership,” said Lucy Fleming, director of FunFest.

Angel’s Share – Tennessee’s barrel-aged beer festival – is another creation of SuperFly Fabulous Events. The event company now has events from Colorado to North Carolina, but got its start in Kingsport with Tennessee’s Oktoberfest (formerly Kingsport Oktoberfest) and the Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza in Johnson City.

“We’ve been wanting to put beer and baseball together for a long time. It doesn’t get much better than drinking an awesome, locally made craft beer and celebrating the local team on their turf,” said Aaron Carson, owner of SuperFly.

Angel’s Share features regional breweries such as Sleepy Owl and Triple B Brewery of Kingsport and others like Wolf Hills Brewing Company, Holston River Brewing Company, Depot Street Brewing, Yee Haw Brewing, Studio Brew, and more.

In addition, SuperFly has teamed up with Blue Blaze soda out of Asheville for some unique mixology creations.

Beyond that, your ticket includes tokens for brewer/distiller collaborations. Breweries are partnering with local distilleries to make complementary creations and a new way to enjoy the craft of beer and distilled spirits.

“We’re not happy if we’re not asking ourselves ‘what about this?’ and saying ‘why not.’ This is a new age for beer, for craft beer and the Tricities is leading Tennessee in the evolvement of the craft,” added Carson.

Tickets are available at www.angelssharebeerfest.com. First Pour tickets are $60 until July 6th when they increase to $65 and include an hour and a half of early entry, five tokens for brewer/distiller collaborations, a brew caddy, and unlimited craft beer sampling and indoor bathrooms.

Grand tasting tickets are $40 until July 6th when they increase to $45 and include unlimited craft beer sampling and three tokens for brewer/distiller collaborations.

A third ticket tier offers a combo ticket to Angel’s Share and the Kingsport FunFest Eastman Concert featuring Echosmith and The Band Perry.
