Brawny Beer Festival | December 10th, 1-5pm
Howdy beer fans,
It’s that wonderful time of the year when porters, stouts and winter warmers become the norm as we begin to hunker down in these colder months. Nothing goes quite as well with a roaring fire than one of these darker and richer beers. We’re certainly no stranger to the style as we constantly find ourselves gravitating towards Russian Imperial Stouts and any stout, porter or barleywine that’s been aged in a barrel – regardless of the season. The flavor – perhaps sweet, chocolate, roast, coffee, vanilla, caramel and maybe even some notes of the spirit that previously inhabited the barrel – so much to dissect and enjoy.
If you’re in the same boat as us, good news; there’s an event on the horizon that focuses just on these beers. I give you the Brawny Beer Festival from our friends at The Mill and Mine and Blackhorse Brewery! December 10th at the Mill and Mine from 1 to 5 pm. Not only do you get to check out some awesome big beers from some stellar breweries but you also get to support the Pat Summit Foundation at the same time as this event benefits the foundation.
The brewer list is pretty impressive. From Founders to Gypsy Circus Cider and local favorites such as Abridged Beer Company to Hexagon Brewing Company – wow, quite the lineup.
We’d encourage you to make plans, buy tickets, support a great cause and enjoy some incredible beer! Prost!
