Blackberry Farm Brewery | Noble Cuvee Dry Hop

I thought I had a Spring Saison in the beer fridge. Not sure why. When I reached for this beer today I was pleasantly surprised. It also means I have another beer to find.

Spring is certainly in the air. The dogwoods are blooming, the tulips, while still closed are beginning to show their color and the yard is peppered with purples, yellows and bright whites. This, however, while not labeled a “spring” beer is wonderfully fitting for such a beautiful day.

BBF_Noble_CuveeThe Noble Cuvee Dry Hop from Blackberry Farm Brewery pours a brilliant gold with a thick effervescent head that lingers and swirls which each sip. Aromas of orange peel and banana are immediately present while spice, pine and honey quickly follow through. On the tongue, spice from the hops quickly makes itself known then gives way to a pleasant sweetness – orange, honey, before the lingering bitter dryness that coats the mouth settles in on the tongue and begins its protest for the next sip.

Final snobs: Sweet, yet dry and appropriately bitter for it’s name. This Saison is an excellent transition from winter to spring and on this March day is a welcome treat. Another artfully crafted beer from our friends at Blackberry Farm Brewery.

Prost!
