Sierra Nevada-Torpedo Extra IPA
The good thing about Sierra Nevada pale ale is that you can usually find it amongst the less snobby beers like Coors, Bud, ect., at a few eating establishes. I was interested to find this at Brusin Ales for 2 bucks.
This brew pours a nice amber / copper color with a decent head and lacing from the get go. It has an odor quite a bit like their pale ale but, with an extra scent of nice piny hops and a floral/ grapefruit/ peppery nose. Apparently they used a new system called a torpedo to dry hop this bastard with whole cone American hops to get its flavor. I am a big fan already. Nice citrusy and grapefruit tastes with a bit of floral finish with the perfect bitterness. I get a nice pine resiny, spicy taste from the dry hopping. Fantastic flavor and 7.2% abv to boot. You could get a few of these down before your done I think.
Final notes are grab this one if you are an IPA fan it will not disappoint.
