Knox Beer Snobs

Knox Beer Week is here!

Huzzah! Knox Beer Week is here. There’s a lot going on this week and many things to choose from. We thought we’d take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone involved in making this happen – brewers, distributors, bars, shops, stores and those that sit on the committee – well done. That said, we thought we’d quickly highlight a few of the things we’re looking forward to.

Monday, June 15th: Tennessee Brew Works Nashweizen IPA Release at Brixx. As we understand it, this is one of the first spots to get this new beer from Tennessee Brew Works out of Nashville. Everything they do is top notch and we expect this will be no different. Brixx is also great because you can make this a family adventure and incorporate dinner with the kiddos. Also note: there is a Highland Brewing Fun Run at the Bearden Beer Market on this same night.

Tuesday, June 16th: Fast Food Beer Dinner at the Casual Pint Fountain City looks fun. However, note that Suttree’s is doing a Founders Brewing Night that will include KBS if you haven’t had it – or – if you like barrel aged beer and have no idea what I’m talking about.

Wednesday, June 17th: Holy cow this is a big night! That said, we had something to do with the Science of Beer event at Scruffy City Hall and we think you’ll like it. These are some of the smartest people we know and they’re going to talk beer and take our questions – worth checking out. There will still be plenty of time to catch another event or two as well. Perhaps the New Belgium Night at Suttree’s or the Foothill’s cask at Bearden Beer Market.

Thursday, June 18th: Meet Your Maker is high on my list at Barley’s downtown. Also, you never know, they could have some pretty cool beer on tap that night. Oscar Wong from Highland will also be on hand.

Friday, June 19th: The Brewer’s Lunch at the Hardin Valley Casual Pint looks fun, beyond that, take your pick – they all look like good choices that evening.

Saturday, June 20th: Knoxville Brewfest! Don’t have tickets? Don’t be silly –  go buy ’em before they sell out. Further, we got some info on a really cool beer Highland Brewing will be pouring – more on that in a day or two.

Enjoy the week and please BE SAFE! We’ve got Uber here so use it if necessary.
