Knoxville, TN—The Inaugural Knoxville Noodle Bowl Festival will be held on September 16. The Chefs Collaborative-sponsored event is a family-friendly, casual picnic-style community event to benefit Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization working to enhance the potential of infants and young children with disabilities by offering support to their families and the early intervention professionals who serve them.

 

The Knoxville Noodle Bowl Festival will be held from 5:30PM to 8:30PM at the Blue Slip Winery in the Historic Southern Railway Station at 300 W Depot Avenue. Single Admission tickets are $25. Family tickets are $50, and include entry for two adults and children under 16. Entry includes unlimited bowls, beer tasting and non-alcoholic beverages; tickets and additional information are available at knbf.brownpapertickets.com starting August 6th at 12PM EST. Early bird pricing is available until September 1st with tickets priced at $20 and $40 for Single and Family tickets respectively.

 

Attendees will be entertained by live music from The Blond Bones while sampling unique Asian-style noodle bowls created by five popular area chefs: William Dissen, The Market Place Restaurant, Asheville, NC; Drew McDonald, The Plaid Apron Café, Knoxville; Karen Crumley, Avanti Savoia, Knoxville; Dan “Bull” Crowder, Bull’s BBQ, Knoxville; John Morris, Sevierville Convention Center and Blount Co. People’s Choice Best Chef 2015.

 

Included in the ticket for those 21+ is a line-up of craft beers from local and regional brewers: Hexagon Brewing Company, Knoxville; Alliance Brewing Company, Knoxville; Pretentious Beer Glass Company, Knoxville; Olde Hickory Brewery, Hickory, NC. The Casual Pint Fountain City will also be on-hand pouring some special surprise beers. Blue Slip wine and FLOW coffee will be available for additional purchase.

About Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs: Since 1995 Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs has existed to provide a bedrock of support to babies and young children with special needs, their families, and the professionals who serve them. “Friends” works side by side with Early Intervention programs to fill in the gaps and provide assistance that a family with specific, urgent needs often just can’t get anywhere else. The list of those vital necessities may include loaner hearing aids, adaptive equipment and toys, respite care, professional support, as well as family based events that provide welcome relief and rich entertainment to children with special needs, their siblings, and care givers.
